Epic Movie Syndrome

In epic movies the protagonist saves the world and frequently ends up with a beautiful heroine. Yes, mostly this movies are pure fantasies and men like James Bond or Jason Bourne are not likely to exist in the real world.

But, after watching an epic movie a feeling of depression or dissatisfaction with one’s real life may occur if you compare it with the awesomeness you saw on the big screen or television.

The feelings of depression or dissatisfaction may last for several days before it subsides.
Even a man like James Bond needed copious amounts of alcohol to keep himself sane. Bond's level of alcohol intake puts him at high risk of multiple alcohol related diseases and an early death. The level of functioning as displayed in the books and films is inconsistent with the physical, mental, and indeed sexual functioning expected from someone drinking this much alcohol[1].
